स्पेन का शहर बार्सिलोना गुरुवार शाम आतंकी हमले का शिकार हो गया। बार्सिलोना के सिटी सेंटर में एक वैन ने भीड़ वाले इलाके में लोगों को कुचल दिया। स्पेन के क्षेत्रीय मंत्री ने 13 लोगों के मरने की पुष्टि की है, वहीं 100 से ज्यादा लोग घायल होने की भी खबर है। बार्सिलोना पुलिस इसे आंतकी हमला मान कार्रवाई कर रही है।
स्पेन के प्रधानमंत्री मारियानो रखॉय ने कहा कि यह एक ‘जिहादी’ हमला है. वहीं, आतंकी संगठन इस्लामिक स्टेट ने इस हमले की जिम्मेदारी ली है. वहीं दक्षिण बार्सिलोना में दूसरे आतंकी हमले को पुलिस ने नाकाम करते हुए 4 आतंकियों को मार गिराया।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि घटनास्थल वाली जगह पर पुलिस की गाड़ियां और ऐंबुलेंस मौजूद हैं। वहीं एक स्थानीय पत्रकार का कहना है कि बंदूक चलने की आवाज भी सुनी गई है।
माना जा रहा है कि वैन में मौजूद हमलावरों ने वहां पैदल चल रहे लोगों को मारने की कोशिश की है। चश्मदीदों का कहना है कि भीड़भाड़ वाले इस इलाके में वैन के पहुंचने के बाद से लोगों में अफरातफरी मच गई। हमले की सूचना के बाद बार्सिलोना के मेट्रो स्टेशन बंद कर दिए गए हैं।
एक स्थानीय न्यूजपेपर के मुताबिक, लोगों को कुचलने के बाद वैन का ड्राइवर भाग निकला. जांच में वैन से किसी तरह का विस्फोटक नहीं मिला है. पुलिस ने एक संदिग्ध को गिरफ्तार किया है. इसके अलावा कातालोनिया इलाके से एक संदिग्ध वैन भी बरामद की गई है।

विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने ट्वीट कर कहा कि वह स्पेन में भारत के दूतावास के साथ लगातार संपर्क में हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि अभी तक मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक किसी भारतीय के मरने की खबर नहीं है। उन्होंने ट्विटर पर बार्सिलोना हमले के लिए इमर्जेंसी नंबर +34-608769335 भी दिया।
इमरजेंसी सर्विसेज ने लोगों को शहर के कातालोनिया इलाके में न जाने की चेतावनी दी गई है। सुरक्षा के लिहाज से नजदीकी मेट्रो और रेलवे स्टेशनों को बंद कर दिया गया है।
बता दें कि लास रमब्लास बार्सिलोना का बहुत मशहूर एवं व्यस्त इलाका है. आमतौर पर यहां पर्यटकों की खासी भीड़ होती है और रात तक मनोरंजन कार्यक्रम चलते रहते हैं। स्पेन अब तक इस तरह के चरमपंथी हमले से बचा रहा है जो हाल के समय में फ्रांस, बेल्जियम और जर्मनी में हुए हैं।
