अलीगढ पुलिस ने जेल में बंद रामपाल के 20 से ज्यादा भक्तों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया है. रामपाल के इन समर्थकों पर हिन्दू देवी देवताओं के खिलाफ आपत्तिजनक पुस्तके बाँटने का आरोप है।
पुलिस को जानकारी मिली थी कि रामपाल के भक्त हिन्दू देवताओं के अपमानजनक किताबें बाँट रहे है, उसके बाद पुलिस ने इन सभी लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। इन लोगों के पास से हिन्दू देवी देवताओं के खिलाफ अपमानजनक शब्दों वाली किताबें बरामद की हैं।

अलीगढ एसएसपी राजेश पाण्डेय ने बताया कि आरएसएस से संबद्ध धर्म जागरण समिति के सदस्य बृजेश कांथक ने पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। जिसके बाद पुलिस ने कार्यवाई करते हुए आईपीसी की धाराएं 153 और 295 में मामला दर्ज किया है।
वहीँ जागरण समिति के सदस्य ब्रजेश कांथक ने बताया कि उन्होंने पुलिस से शिकायत करके दोषियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है। वहीँ पुलिस द्वारा कार्यवाई करने के बाद रामपाल के एक समर्थक आरके दास का कहना है कि उन पर लगे आरोप झूठे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी धर्म की भावनाओं को आहत करने का कोई मकसद नहीं था अगर ऐसा हुआ है तो वे लोग माफी मांगते हैं।
गौरतलब है कि रामपाल हरियाणा में सतलोक आश्रम संचालित करता था। उसके ऊपर आगजनी, दंगे, हत्या का प्रयास सहित कई गंभीर धाराओं में मामले चल रहे हैं। फिलहाल रामपाल जेल में है।
