पीएम मोदी के बर्थडे पर देश भर से उन्हें शुभकामना सन्देश भेजे गए। देश के कई स्थानों पर कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर मोदी जी को बधाईया दी गयी तो इस मौके पर देश में कई तरह के जागरूकता प्रोग्राम भी चलाये गए। कई लोग उन्हें सोशल मीडिया पर बधाई देते रहे। वहीं, सीनियर जर्नलिस्ट और प्रसार भारती की चेयरपर्सन रह चुकीं साहित्यकार मृणाल पांडे ने भी ट्वीट कर मोदी जी को बधाई दी। लेकिन मृणाल पांडे ने मोदी जी को बधाई देते हुए उन्हें गधे की संज्ञा दे दी। मृणाल पांडे ने लिखा, ‘जुमला जयंती पर पर आनंदित, पुलकित, रोमांचित वैशाखनंदन। आपको बता दें इसमें वैशाखनंदन शब्द का अर्थ गधा होता है। इसके बाद उनको यूजर्स ने आड़े हाथों ले लिया लिया। लोगो ने कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए उनके इस ट्वीट को गरिमा के खिलाफ बताया और उनके इस ट्वीट पर जमकर मजाक उड़ाया और उन्हें अपनी इस गलती के लिए माफी मांगने को कहा गया है।

एक शख्स ने लिखा है – “महोदया, इस व्यंग्य में आपका दुख दिखाई दे रहा है, और कहीं यह दुख 2024 तक रह गया, तो शायद आप अपना मानसिक संतुलन ना खो बैठें।”
इसके बाद मृणाल पांडे ने जवाब देते हुए लिखा है, “कृपया आप अपने आंखों की जांच कराएं।”
एक यूजर ने कहा, “निराशा हो रही है मन को अतीव, आपका बौद्धिक पतन देख कर, हो सकता है आपके वैचारिक विरोध हों मोदी जी से पर, आपसे इस स्तर की आशा नही थी।”
समीर सिंह नाम के शख्स ने लिखा, “संवेदनहीन व्यक्ति धधीच का विरोध करने वाले आज उसी धधीच की भाषा में अपनी बात को अभिव्यक्त कर रहे हैं।”
शिव नारायण नाम के शख्स ने लिखा, “आश्विन माह में वैशाख माह की याद आपको आ गई, बहुत बहुत बधाई। इसी तरह लगे रहिये, अब जनता भी आपको घास डालना बंद कर चुकी है। शायद घास मिल जाए।”
इन्हें जवाब देते हुए मृणाल पांडे ने एक ट्वीट किया और कहा कि प्रत्यक्ष के लिए प्रमाण की जरूरत नहीं होती है।
